Finding space again, one step at a time

Where we started

Over time, clothes and belongings had taken over much of the house. Cooking, using the dining table or finding everyday items had become difficult.

The client contacted me because she wanted practical support to make her home more comfortable to use again.

The first week: starting with the essentials

For the first five days, I worked with her every day. Together, we tackled the most urgent tasks: washing and putting away clothes, sorting belongings into categories and returning them to the appropriate rooms.

We cleaned and reorganised the kitchen, cleared surfaces and made space for everyday activities.

The following weeks: finding the right place

Over the next three weeks, I returned one or two days a week, depending on her needs.

Between visits, the client had time to get used to the reorganised spaces and discover what worked for her. She could then tell me what she wanted to move, change or improve.

Together, we adjusted the details, one step at a time.

The result

Over the course of a month, we worked throughout the house, giving each space its purpose again and finding a place for belongings.

The table became a place to eat again, the bedroom a place to rest, and the kitchen a usable space.

This is one of the projects closest to my heart, because of the work we shared and the care we took to move at the client’s pace.

Do you need a hand getting started too?

Tell me what you need. Together, we’ll find the first step.
